 2012 Summer Course with Mira Mehta

The course runs for five days, Monday to Friday inclusive. The morning sessions cover a topic in both theory and practice. In the afternoon there are guided practice sessions followed by pranayama or philosophy.

The Summer Course deals with Yoga topics of general interest. They are suitable for teachers and for students with at least three years’ Yoga experience and home practice. Please follow this link to our Courses page.

The Spring Course (2013) deals with topics related to teaching. They are suitable for teachers and trainee teachers.

Students attending both the spring and summer courses for three and a half years (i.e. seven courses) and subject to continuous assessment procedures may be eligible to receive The Yogic Path’s Certificate in Yoga Teaching. Please follow this link for more information about Yoga Teacher Training.

This study group will read and discuss the Bhagavad Gita, which is an important work on spirituality and Yoga. Originating in India, it has become a world classic popular both for its inspirational message and for its poetic language. No prior knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita is required. Poetry Website

Mira Mehta runs a monthly study group, Lovers of Poetry, every 2nd Thursday of the month, which uses poetics as the stimulus for exploring poetry. Please visit: www.poetrypoetics.com for full details.

It is said that poetry consists exclusively of delight and is delectable with mood. This study group uses poetics as the stimulus for exploring poetry.  Understanding poetry theory enables the objective evaluation of poetic skill. A composition theme is suggested and participants share their work with the group. Topics include: Poetry and Thought, Inspiration, Definition and Grading of Poetry, Words and Meanings, Emotion and Dramatic Mood, Hidden Meaning, Attributes and Defects of Poetry and Ornamentation of Language.
