Classes

Day Class
Monday        6.30 - 8.30pm Progressing in Yoga

This class helps students deepen their understanding and practice of Yoga by explaining principles and techniques. Covering therapeutic methods as well as intermediate and advanced poses, the approach is both subtle and energetic. As such, a good background of regular practice (3 to 5 years) is required.

Please Note
• Students with a medical condition are requested to discuss this with Mira before enrolling. One-to-one consultations can be arranged.

Mira is recognised for her expertise in all aspects of Yoga, including therapeutic work, philosophy and the theory of practice. She read Sanskrit and Indian philosophy at Oxford and basic Ayurveda at an Indian University, and has continued her studies with traditional scholars in India. She began Yoga as a child with B.K.S. Iyengar and returns to India annually for further study.

Mira's books on Yoga have been translated into many languages. They include the best-selling textbook, Yoga: The Iyengar Way, Health Through Yoga, which explains Yoga through Ayurveda and gives simple therapeutic routines, and Yoga Explained, a foundation course on practice and philosophy.
